International Symposium of Ultrasound: June 11 – 14, 2016
SeeMore Imaging Canada is pleased to tell you about the upcoming International Symposium of Ultrasound for Regional Anesthesia, Pain Medicine, and Peri-operative Application (ISURA), taking place in Toronto June 11 – 14, 2016. The conference will be held at St. Michael’s College in the core of the University of Toronto campus, and will offer several ultrasound workshops, specifically for those interested in Pain Management and basic musculoskeletal (MSK)
Yes, while this is the 12th annual meeting of ISURA, we’re very excited that they’ve added a new program module this year: “MSK imaging for pain medicine and perioperative applications for anesthesia practice”.
The ISURA 2016 scientific program has included distinguished national and international guest faculty and University of Toronto faculty. There will be:
- – 2 days of lectures and hands on workshops for regional anesthesia
- – 2.5 days for pain medicine and MSK imaging
- – ½ day of cadaver workshop for pain medicine (optional)
- – 2 days for peri-operative application
For the pain medicine and MSK imaging program, which are particularly looking forward to, the 2.5 days of scheduled sessions cover the following topics:
Session I: Anatomy, Intervention and Practice Management
Session II: Low Back Pain
Session III: Head and Neck Procedures
Session IV: Shoulder and Elbow Pain
Session V: Live Demonstration and Ask the Expert Session (Audience Participation)
Session VI: Regenerative Injection Therapy (RIT)
Session VII: Knee and Hip Pain
Session VIII: New Applications and Technology
Both basic and advanced procedures will be discussed. There will be plenty of time for panel discussion, group scanning, and hands on practice on live subjects, phantom simulators and cadaver specimens.
All in all, this conference is designed to provide anesthesiologists and pain practitioners a comprehensive review of ultrasound imaging for regional anesthesia, pain medicine (diagnosis and intervention) and perioperative medicine. ISURA’s panel of international and national renowned faculty will provide you with the latest developments and state-of-the-art information in the world of ultrasound.
Please visit ISURA’s website for more information and details on registering. We hope to see you there!
